I am opening CrossingsBorders Ghent boxes ...3 down ...and must give a great measure of appreciation to the art work ...getting excited for the Perlmutter Borders usa show ...this work that showed previously but also the new works coming in and yet to be selected are stirring possibilities . Recognizing the talent in GAP ---first piece I unwrapped aare these incredible paintings by Linda Coppens ...beautiful ; photos that minimally yet powerfully capture intellectual and minimal sense of Borders by Brian Auerbach...impressive works ... A nice moment of anticipation when I am otherwise pretty muted with multiple projects and exhibitions going on...big appreciation to @Ron Weijers and 10dence Gallery holland for initiating the original curatorial collaboration with GAP via Borders last year , hanging and hosting the show as well as shipping it out to me. I have a high bar to meet in September but know we will make a strong USA Borders. I will add Ghent artists as I inventory the Ghent work to the CrossingBorders fb message tree beginning in a few moments...to be perfectly clear if one had 3 works shown in Ghent I cannot guarantee that all 3 will appear here in the USA show...recall that we originally had 2 sites for Borders here; the Pandemic forced the consolidation of one of the spaces and Gallerie Renee Marie went on to program Gender Gap and other exhibits...so from cancelled to running in one and not two spaces----large space but also housing the work of Perlmutter artists from her closed flag ship gallery....more details than you probably care to be concerned with , BUT Gap is about transparency ...share the shit with the glory... take in what you care to ; someone else perhaps is more detail oriented...in any event the show goes on we are all good ...
